Custom Connector Case Studies
Custom packaging for automatic pick-and-place
Application challenge: a customer requires a through-hole connector to be supplied on tape & reel package. The instability of the connector in the carrier tape pocket would not allow the pick & place machine to effectively pick up the part.
GCT solution: we fabricated a custom tape & reel package with a carrier pocket able to stabilize the connector's tails in the pocket, enabling the vacuum nozzle to cleanly pick up the part.
