FFC / FPC Connector Cable Entry Types

Overview

In order to achieve an optimal connection with your FFC / FPC connector and cable designs, GCT offers four options allowing great flexibility. This includes:

  • Top Contact
  • Bottom Contact
  • Dual (Top & Bottom) Contact
  • Vertical Contact
FFC / FPC Connector Cable Entry Types
Dual Contact - Contacts are exposed on both sides, along the top and bottom edge of the connector, allowing you to connect either way.
(Example shown: FFC2B28)
Top Contact - Contacts are exposed on one side only, along the top edge of the connector.
(Example shown: FFC2B16)
Bottom Contact - Contacts are exposed on one side only, along the bottom edge of the connector.
(Example shown: FFC2B21)
Vertical Contact - Refers to the orientation of the mounted connector and typically would be a slide lock type.
